I don't know about you, but I'm getting the wattpad itch again. Remember when it first started? It feels so long ago. I used to rely a lot on it to have my first taste, you know, of having readers. It's now very popular, which is good for them, but I have a feeling new books get stuck at the bottom of a rapidly rising pile of new releases.

One of my projects this week was to update my old wattpad page and to design new covers for all the books I have there. I think I spammed Twitter a little with links to my stories. No one has yelled at me, but, I feel bad. I don't want to pester anyone with sample chapters... which brings me to yet another thought on Wattpad: I only have sample chapters of my work there. Do readers lose interest when they realize the story isn't marked as completed? Many published authors only post samples of their books there, and they seem to get some attention. But, they're already published traditionally, and they already have a loyal readership...

We'll see where this goes. I've been feeling so unmotivated about my writing lately. Writing is sometimes lonely and unrewarding. I'm not seeking rewards. But it would be nice to know that my writing changed someone's day, that it inspired a reader and gave them hope.

ALL THAT SAID, here are my book covers, designed by yours truly on https://www.canva.com/:

If you feel like reading any of these stories, you'll find samples on my wattpad account: https://www.wattpad.com/user/cavalcar. Feel free to follow me and to leave a comment!
